It’s a time of transition for Sonny Merryman and two of our team members.
It is with a mixture of pride, gratitude, and a touch of nostalgia that we share some significant news about transitions within our team here at Sonny Merryman.
After 36 years of dedicated service, our Chief Operations Officer, Mark Roberts, will be retiring at the end of 2023. Mark has been an invaluable asset to our company, exemplifying true dedication to our customers and fostering genuine relationships within the commercial bus industry. His unwavering commitment to doing what’s right has left an indelible mark, and his legacy will undoubtedly endure.
While Mark embarks on a well-deserved retirement, we extend our warmest wishes to him, his wife Kim, and their family. We are grateful for his mentorship and friendship, which will continue to lean on as we move forward.
With Mark’s departure, we are excited to announce the promotion of Jordan Wray to the role of Vice President of Commercial Bus, effective January 1, 2024. Jordan has been an integral part of our team for nine years, immersing himself in understanding the intricacies of the white and yellow bus business. His dedication and knowledge, coupled with the guidance received from Mark over the years, position him excellently to lead our Commercial Bus team and business into the future.
